I don’t know that Oppo really cares for these vlogs, but I’ve been doing them in an attempt to pump life into my YouTube channel in between releasing major content. Is anybody here interested in grassroots garage vlogs or is this a futile attempt at keeping a channel alive between the bigger production videos like the interviews and car showcasing?

I like the concept... but I find so many vlogs are not really watchable. Fine if you need an answer to a particular question about how to do something, but that’s about as much as I can stand of most the ones I have seen. I guess if you are doing it, use it as a way to improve the quality of your content, not just educate your viewers. You might make something great.

Unfortunately I am on my work computer and most videos seem to be blocked, or it is missing something needed to view them so I can’t offer an opinion on yours specifically, which in case you took the first comments personally means I am speaking generally, having no reference about what you are doing.

I don’t take those comments personally. I’m always seeking negative critiques with stuff that I create as it’s benificial to making a better product. Good point about improving the quality of the content with vlogs. Since doing it, I’ve noticed faults that could be corrected in future productions so the vlogs do at least serve as a tool to enhance future productions if nothing else.

I also find that many vlogs are not watchable. Typically they’re not digestible or there is just no thought put in the production value. The channel Haggard Garage is, well, haggard. Then you have channels like Eric the Car Guy who puts real effort into what he does and creates vlogs worth watching and develops a community to interact in.
